W. Hazen Madsen … After a long winter, Hazen passed peacefully in his sleep at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 21, 2008 . Born May 31, 1922, he worked hard all his life till he could work no more.He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myrtle (Matheson), son, Albert (Betty) of New Maryland, N.B, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren , 3 great, great grandchildren, brothers, Donald of St. Stephen, Kenneth of Oshawa, Ont, sister, Lela of Little Ridge, several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by one son, Gary (infant) in 1944; two daughters, Shirley (Dow) in 1999 and Helena (Wry) in 2005; brothers Cecil and Chester, and sisters Louisa and ZilphaVisitation will be held at S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2 PM.Interment will be at the Scotch Ridge Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Scotch Ridge Hall.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
