In Loving Memory Of

Wendy K. Storr

1957 - 2026

Wendy K. Storr (Scott) lived a life filled with love, laughter, music, and a deep devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her wonderful sense of humour, and the many ways she made life a little sweeter for the people around her.

Wendy’s love story began when she met Kenny at just 17 years old. After graduating high school in June, the two were married that September and welcomed their first child the following summer. This past September, they celebrated 51 years of marriage, marking more than five decades of love, partnership, and building a family together. Wendy had her own special way of telling their story, often saying that Kenny “was such a hunk and she slowed down just enough for him to catch her.” Those words perfectly captured her playful spirit and the charm that made her so special.

Wendy’s working life took her through several different paths before she found her true calling as a hairstylist. She began her career pumping gas at the Service Garage, later moving on to Scotiabank in McAdam, followed shortly by Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Eventually, she discovered her passion for hairstyling, working for a short time at Hair Mistress in Fredericton before bringing her talents back home to McAdam. There, she established her own business from her home, where she welcomed clients into her chair for many years until she eventually retired. Through her work, Wendy built lasting relationships and connections within her community, making hairstyling not just a career, but another way to connect with people.

Family was at the centre of Wendy’s world, and being a grandmother was one of her greatest joys. She loved her grandchildren deeply, each holding a special place in her heart.

Of course, no story about Wendy would be complete without mentioning her beloved dog, Harley. Harley held a very special place in her heart and, as Wendy would have everyone know, had somehow managed to take precedence over her own children! It was one of those things that made Wendy uniquely Wendy, bringing a little humour to family life and leaving no doubt about just how much she adored her four-legged companion.

Wendy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially those that brought people together. With her guitar in hand, she loved playing music and singing with friends and family. Whether sharing a song, gathering for a visit, or enjoying a good laugh, she treasured the time spent with those closest to her.

Her kindness extended throughout her community, often in the form of freshly baked bread and homemade cookies. Wendy loved making these treats and sharing them with others, offering a little taste of home and a reminder that sometimes the simplest gestures mean the most. Her generosity was a reflection of her caring nature and her desire to make others feel thought of and appreciated.

Camping was another great love of Wendy’s, and she embraced a lifestyle that allowed her to enjoy the best of two places. She spent many winters camping in Florida, escaping the colder months, and making memories along the way, before returning to the Mick Mack campground for the summer. Whether in the warmth of Florida or back among familiar faces at Mick Mack, she treasured the friendships, visits, laughter, and sense of community that came with camping. These seasonal journeys became a special part of her life, giving her places to enjoy and people to share them with.

Wendy will be remembered for her love of family, her devotion to her grandchildren, her affection for Harley, her passion for music, her generosity, and her unmistakable sense of humour. She had a way of showing love through the things she did, whether it was singing a favourite song, sharing something homemade, welcoming someone into her home, or simply spending time together.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her two sons, Kirk and Shaun (Jennie); and her five cherished grandchildren, Kennedy, Parker, Seth, Madisyn, and Jude, who brought so much love and joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother, Shane (Sheila); her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ann (Gene), Dale (Darlene), and Sue along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others whose lives she touched throughout the years.

Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Leona; her infant sister; her brothers-in-law, Richard (Dorilla), and David; and her beloved four-legged companions.
