It is with great sadness that the family of Frank McCray announce his passing on Monday, March 9, 2026, at his home in Upper Mills, NB surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born in Upper Mills in 1940 to the late Theodore E. and Inez L. (Lee) McCray.
From a young age, Frank was employed in many jobs including woods work, mechanic, construction, taxi driver, propane delivery and retired in 1999 after 22 years as a diesel mechanic with Milltown Trucking Company Ltd. Frank had many hobbies but especially enjoyed showing his car at the Classic Car Club, stock car racing and meeting his friends for coffee at Tim Hortons. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Alley Lodge in Upper Mills, NB.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Carol (Harper), their children; Dianne, at home, Karen (Mark) Northrup of St Andrews, NB, Doug (Bev Delong) of Upper Mills, NB, grandchildren; Everest McCray of Woodstock, NB, Stephen Northrup of Saint John, NB, Vikki Northrup (Eric Arsenault) of Saint John, NB, Sarah (Allan) Grenier of Salt Springs, NB., great- grandchildren; Aiden and Owen Grenier, brothers; Earl (Kay), Emmett (Marsha), sisters; Nora (John) McLean, Barb McLean and Susan Davidson, sisters-in-law; Janet Harper and Mary Pulk, several nieces and nephews and special friend Helen Torrance.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his infant brother; Douglas and his stepmother; Rosemary McCray.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lalik, Extramural Nurses, RCMP, Paramedics and Nursing Staff of Charlotte County Hospital. We are truly grateful for your professional and compassionate care.
In keeping with Frank's wishes there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
