In Loving Memory Of

Susan D. Fleming

1952 - 2026

It is with profound sadness that the family of Susan Fleming (MacMillan), announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday April 28, 2026, at the age of 73, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, New Brunswick.

Born in Milltown, New Brunswick, Susan was the heart and soul of her family and the true matriarch who held everyone together. Fiercely devoted to those she loved, she was the centre of her family’s world — a steady, loving presence whose home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and memorable gatherings.

Family was her greatest joy and her highest priority, she nurtured it with intention, grace, and unwavering love.

Susan had an extraordinary gift for making people feel instantly welcome. Whether friend, neighbour or a stranger, everyone she met was treated like family from the very first moment. Beautiful inside and out, she was deeply spiritual, actively involved in her church, community and a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. Her kindness, faith, and compassion were reflected in the many friendships she cherished and the countless lives she touched.

Above all else, Susan’s world revolved around her home, her beloved husband and her children. She was the foundation of her family - a source of strength, comfort and constant love.

Susan is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband of 53 years; Mark Fleming, her sons; Sean (Melinda), Corey (Jennifer) and Jamie (Dayle) and her cherished grandchildren; Claire, Maxwell, Quinn, Luna, Bryson and Matthew, who brought endless joy to her life. She is also mourned by her siblings; James MacMillan, Nancy MacLeod, Neil MacMillan, David MacMillan (Terry) and Gerald MacMillan; as well as her many brothers- and sisters‑in‑law; Ronald Fleming, James Fleming (Judy), Douglas Fleming (Peggy), Danny Fleming (Carley), Robert Fleming, Kenneth Fleming (Nancy), Margaret Howlett (Douglas), Colleen Bussey (Dave) and Tony Fleming (Lydia).

She was predeceased by her parents; James “Bud” and Eleanor MacMillan and her in-laws; Jack and Mary Fleming.
