S. Nancy Goddard

It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Goddard, 86, announce her passing on August 3, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital  Saint John, New Brunswick.

She was the daughter of the late Freda and Farrell Richardson.

Nancy born in Tracy Mills, New Brunswick, she had spent her childhood and teenage years growing up on Grand Manan, New Brunswick.

She developed a great love for her game of basketball during her teenage years.  She enjoyed her many trips to the mainland for "away" games, sometimes having to come across on local fishing boats.

Nancy was happy to move to the mainland after graduation.  She enlisted in the Canadian Air Force.  She was stationed at many different locations across Canada.  She was trained as a teletype operator.

After moving to St. Stephen with her family, growing up she worked many years as a cook at Lonicera Hall.  She cooked many meals and was known to many for her great pies.  Especially coconut cream!!  Birthdays just won’t be the same without her pies.

Nancy is survived by her husband; Jim of 67 years, two sons; Chris (Tracey) and Sam (Audrey) daughter; Lisa, six grandchildren; Josh, Ashley, Jed, Erin, Caitlin and Cierra, five great-grandchildren, Xavier, Ryder, Wyatt, Hallie (Little Lulu) and Halen, brother; Ron (Stella) Richardson living in Ontario and two nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff at 4C North at the Saint John Regional Hospital Saint John, New Brunswick, for the care they gave her during her stay.

By Nancy’s request, cremation will take place and a private family service.
