Rowena L. Braysford
1938 - 2025
Rowena L. Braysford passed peacefully at Lincourt Manor, St Stephen, N.B. on Saturday March 15, 2025, with her loving son, Bruce and wife, Alta by her side.
She was born in Doaktown, N.B. to the late Astley and Helen (Ward) Lyons.
Rowena moved to St Stephen after graduating from Doaktown High School to study and become a nurse.
She married Stephen Braysford and raised their two sons in St Stephen, N.B. Rowena had many friends and enjoyed quilting, golfing, playing bridge and a glass of red wine.
She will be deeply missed by her son; Bruce and wife Alta, grandchildren; Ross (Emma), Timmy, Nicole (Jeramy), Christoper, Zackery and Shawna, great-grandchildren; James, Gavin and Caroline, nephews; Troy, Peter, Kevin, Shawn and Larry and niece; Kim.
In addition to her parents, Rowena was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Stephen, son; Brent Braysford, daughter-in-law; Dorothy Gallant and brother; Allan Lyons (Marjone)
A special thank you for the compassionate care through out the stages to St. Stephen Home Support, St Stephen Seniors Complex and Lincourt Manor Nursing Home.
In keeping with Rowena’s wishes, a private family graveside service and burial will take place at the St Stephen Rural Cemetery St. Stephen, N.B.
