Rosemarie T Goguen

We are announcing the peaceful passing of Rosemarie (Casey) Goguen of Milltown, NB on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

A life lived fully for 94 wonderful years – a "real class act". A graduate of Milltown High School and St. Francis Xavier University in 1949. Rosemarie went on to study at McGill University under Dr. Wilder Penfield to become the first EEG Technician in New Brunswick.

Rosemarie’s starring role, however, came when she married Ovila; adding six children into the fold along the way; Jeff, Peter, Frances, Martha, Katie, and Bill. The tree branched out to include nine grandchildren; Liam, Meghan, Kendall, Jeremy, Matthieu, Brigitte, Emily, Katie, Tanner and four great grandchildren, Louis Ovila, Eamon, Lucius and Callum.

Funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11 AM. There will be no visitation held.

Ode to ‘Wosie’

Musicality and sharp wit coloured her scene

Parents Fanny and Ed had provided the genes

Rosemarie feathered many nests across the land

Endless school registrations, fun activities to plan

Energy, intelligence, and humour abounded

She loved having all of her children around

Tickling the ivories for a party; a friendly game of bridge

Dancing through life with Ovi; occasionally running a Ridge

Cups of coffee, crosswords and books stimulated her mind

Planting gardens, camping, neighbourhood chats to unwind

At the end of the day, what more can we say?

Rosemarie and Ovi lived vibrantly – doing it "Their Way"
