It is with great sadness that the family of Rose E. Dickerson announce her passing at her residence in St. George, N.B. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
Rose was born in Acadieville, N.B., daughter of the late Alban and Marie Richard.
Rose is the dedicated mother, first and foremost to her nine children. She worked at many different jobs to help support her family and there wasn’t anything she would not do for each one of them. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Mom, fell in love with her. Whether to be a shoulder to lean on, to give someone the best advice, the coffee was always hot.
Mom was independent, strong willed, no nonsense and taught her children to be the same way.
Rose is survived by her companion of 20 years Herb Sr., loving and devoted mother of her children; Tammy (Ivan) of Barrie, ON, Kimberly (Roy) of Edson, AB, Trudy of Hinton, AB, Blaine (Stacey) of Hinton, AB, Peggy (Paul) of Woodstock, NB, Roseann of St George, NB, Tommy (Corine) of Hinton, AB, Serena (Craig) of Spruce Grove, AB. Rose will be sadly missed by twenty-four grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Richard of 29 years, son, Richard Jr., grandsons, Lucas and Ronald, great-granddaughter Gracie, daughter-in-law, Darlene, sisters, Gloria and Mary, brothers, Peter and Raymond.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her son-in-law, Johnny Leavitt for his compassionate care and support, going above and beyond in helping with our Mom’s every need. Also, special thanks to Extramural nurses from St George, N.B., Kimmie, Paula, Tammy and Carrie.
There will be no funeral service as per Mom’s request. Interment will be at Moores Mills Cemetery, Moores Mills, NB.
For those who wish, donation to Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
