MITCHELL-Ronald S.With great sadness we announce the death of Ronald (Sidney) Mitchell at the Charlotte County Hospital on March 30, 2008, at the age of 87. Born in Charlotte County on March 10, 1921, son of the late Alfred and Agnes (Lord) Mitchell. Husband of Dora (Kaglar) Mitchell. A Veteran of WWII, he served overseas with the New Brunswick North Shore Regiment landing in Europe on D-Day on Juno Beach. After the war he was a farmer, woodsman and in the later years employed at Bartlett’s Saw Mill. Ronald was predeceased by a son, Gerald, brothers, Kenneth and Lester, daughter-in-law, Linda (Moffatt) Mitchell and Darlene (Allen) Mitchell.He is survived by his wife, Dora, sons, Sidney, Valley Road, George (Fern) Moncton, Lewis (Lori) Tower Hill, stepdaughters, Eleanor Moreau (Ron), St. Jerome, Quebec, Joyce Coulton (Albert), St. George, grandchildren, Darren (Leslie) Mitchell, Valley Road, Shannon (Gene) Guitar, Oak Bay, Ryan Mitchell, Alberta, Carrie Dollard (Alvin), Moncton,and Allison Mitchell,Tower Hill, great grandchildren, Alexis Guitar, Lauren Mitchell, Jorja Dollard, brothers Lloyd (Velma), Old Ridge, Morton (Audrey), St. Andrews, sister, Ester Hyatt, Cambridge, NB, sisters-in-law, Ruth Mitchell, Ottawa, Marguerite Giddens, Tower Hill, nieces, nephews and cousins.Resting at the S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 2 PM with Canon John Matheson officiating.Interment at Oak Bay Rural Cemetery in the spring.Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday April 1, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Lincourt Manor, Tower Hill Hall or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
