Ronald Laurie Allen, husband of Matilda Allen (Leblanc) formerly of Amherst, NS passed away on Friday December 16th, 2011 at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, N.B.
Born on December 24th, 1926 in Amherst, he was a son the late Arthur and Leona (Burke) Allen.
Ron worked for CN Express for many years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish, Amherst.
He is survived by his wife, Matilda of 64 years; daughter, Debbie (Kevin) Trenholm of St. Stephen,N.B.; grandsons, Ryan of Moncton, NB and Tyler of Belleville, Ontario. Ron was predeceased by his sister Viola MacKenzie.
Resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Sunday,December 18th, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Following the reception in the parish hall, interment will take place in the St.Clements Cemetery, Port Elgin, N.B.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society.
