It is with heavy hearts, the family announce the passing of Richmond H. Trafton at the Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB on Sunday April 5, 2026, after his battle with cancer.
Born in St Stephen, NB, in 1941, the son of the late Henry and Louisa Trafton.
Richmond spent his working career as a truck driver (loader/operator), starting out working for his father, Henry. He then worked many years with McGibbon Industries. In his later years, he worked with his son, Danny until he retired at the age of 64.
Richmond is survived by his children; Joey, Danny (Denise) and Mike (Susan)m bis brother; Theodore Moore (Marilyn), grandchildren; Roger, Cory (Michaela), Chris, Nick and Dustin, great-grandchildren; Lauryn Barry, Kendra & Gavin Shaw, Riannan Scott, Hailie, Brooke and Addison Johnson, his sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and of course Coco & Pepper, his precious four legged grandpuppies.
In addition to his parents, Richmond was predeceased by his devoted loving wife, Faye and granddaughter; Amy Shaw.
The family would like to thank the nurses at CCH palliative care, for making him comfortable. Nikki Bires (niece) and Penny McCray, thank you for the extra care you gave him on his last few days, it was greatly appreciated. Jana Black, for the years of home support care, he thought dearly of you and to Extra Mural for the great home care.
In keeping with Richmond’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation held.
A private family interment will be held at the Lynnfield Cemetery, Lynnfield, NB at a later date.
