Richard “Rick” McGlinchey

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the peaceful passing of Richard "Rick" N. McGlinchey on Sunday September 22, 2024, at home with his wife at his bedside after having lost his battle with cancer.

Rick was the son of Florence and the late Norman McGlinchey.

Rick loved any job that kept him in the great outdoors, his favorite being working in the woods.  He often had many friends stop in for a touch up on their chains on their chain saw and no doubt, enjoying a cold beer or two, while some serious stories were told, I’m sure.

Rick’s greatest pride were his family and making special memories along the way.  One being, teaching the grandkids to drive the old tractor and all the fun times at the camp.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of 48 years, his son; Cory (Leighann), his daughter; Jan (Sean), former daughter-in-law; Becky, former son-in-law; Alan, grandchildren; Gabe, Ethan, Anthony, Dalton, Peyton, Ashley and Alley, great-grandchildren; Raven, Quinn and Violet, mother; Florence, mother-in-law; Marie, brothers; Jeff (Ellen) and Jim (Duska), brothers-in-law; Neil (Doreen), Carl (Kerry) and Steven, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law; Allan Brisley.

In honoring Rick’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
