Philip “Phil” McMorran
1959 - 2024
It is with great sadness the family of Philip (Phil) McMorran announce his unexpected passing on June 20, 2024 at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, NB.
Phil was the son of the late Glenn and Gerry (Purdy) McMorran.
Phil spent his working life in the construction business with many structures in British Columbia and New Brunswick bearing the mark of his skilled hands.
Phil had five great loves in his life – his relationship with the Lord, his wife, two sons and his Harley. He was a kind, generous man and anyone who knew him, loved him.
He married the late Beth (Elizabeth) Frawley on September 17, 1994.
Phil is survived by his sons, the greatest source of pride and joy in his life, Clayton (Natouri) McMorran of St. Stephen, NB and Issac Frawley-McMorran of Victoria, BC, his much loved grandchildren, Kaiden and River Hope and Mayven McMorran, his siblings, Carmen Nicholson, Ray (Paulette) McMorran, Darlene (Ken) McLaughlin and John (Phyllis) McMorran, his belated wife’s family, sisters Kelly (Robert) and Angel (Jamey), Beth’s brother, Bobby and their families, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Beth, he was predeceased by sister, Bonnie Short, brother-in-law, Ron Nicholson, his wife’s parents, Robert Frawley and Lily Dunn.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the St. Stephen Seniors Complex, Old Ridge, NB, for their dedicated care and affection. Also, to the staff of the Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB and Extra Mural, St Stephen, NB.
Funeral Service will be at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 2 pm. Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 26, 2024, from 12 pm until service time.
Interment will be at Oak Bay Cemetery, Oak Bay, NB following the service.
