Philip “Phil” J. Crosby

It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Philip “Phil” J. Crosby at the Charlotte County Hospital St Stephen, NB on Monday September 21, 2026.

Philip is the son of the late Joseph Crosby and Elizabeth Tidd.

In 1956, Philip joined Canadian Armed Forces as a helicopter mechanic and retired as a sergeant in 1986. After retirement, he then continued his career as a Commissaire until 2016. He was active in the Canadian Forces Cadet program as an instructor from 1998 – 2001.

Phil enjoyed tinkering with engines but mostly enjoyed his free time riding and visiting family.

Phil married the love of his life, Donna in 1998. They enjoyed motorcycling together though it started as his passion it also became hers.

He enjoyed the simple pleasure of morning coffee with his friends, never short on conversation or a good laugh.

Phil is survived by his sister; Margaret (Lee) Ferstman, niece; Wanda, stepsons; Mark (Katelyn) and Matthew (Breanne), five grandchildren, stepsister; Donna and family, sister-in-law; Cindy and family, several nieces and nephews along with many special friends, who know who they are.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 24, 2026, at The S.O. Mehen & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street St Stephen, NB at 2 pm with the Royal Canadian Legion St Croix Branch #9 conducting a tribute to a Veteran Service.

Interment will be at the Scotch Ridge Cemetery, Scotch Ridge, NB at 4:30 pm.
