Eternally beautiful inside and out, Myrna Nason of McAdam passed away peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital on January 2, 2024 at the age of 94.
Myrna was the daughter of the late Elmer and Jennie Clarkson.
Mom worked for several businesses in the community over the years. She served as secretary of the school board and volunteered locally with the Laubach Society.
After raising her family, Mom successfully completed a one-year Registered Nursing Assistant Program in St Andrews, NB., coming second in her class. As always, we were so proud of our mom and she loved her new career.
She enjoyed reading and keeping in touch with her family and friends online until her failing vision forced her to give up these pastimes in her mid 80’s.
Mom loved animals and no stray cat or wild critter on her back deck went away hungry.
Mom is survived by her sons, Hank (Dianne), Wade and Curt (Sharon), daughter, Crystal (Bruce) Smith, grandchildren, Teri (Troy) Soontiens, April Nason (Richard Roscoe), Derek Nason (Chelsea Seale), Sacha Smith (Adam Thayne) and Sarah Martell (Devon), great-grandchildren, Evah and Connor Soontiens and Addison Martell, sister-in-law, Joyce Clarkson, brother-in-law, Bob Nason (Karen), several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Sherry Little (Rob) , Tracy McIntosh (Garnett) and feline princess, Chloe.
Special thanks go out to Dr P. Ramsey, Anna, Coleen, Sharon and the McAdam Homemakers whose care allowed Mom to live at home for the past several years.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Her remains will rest beside Dad in the Rockland Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent online to mehanfuneralhome.ca
