It is with sadness the family of Muriel Marshall announces her passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on October 14, 2026.
Born in St. Stephen, N.B., daughter of the late Karl and Geneva (Hawkins) Marshall. Muriel was a lifelong resident of Lynnfield, where she lived on the family farm. She resided with her father, Karl, until his passing in 2009, and later made her home with her brother Kenny and Sherri.
Muriel had a great memory. She never forgot a name or face. When you met Muriel, she would ask when your birthday was, and next time she saw you, she’d be sure to let you know she remembered exactly when that was.
She spent her days taking leisurely walks outside in the yard, sitting with and feeding the chickens. She loved a good hearty home cooked meal, and a nice, sweet treat afterwards. In the evenings she looked forward to watching the news and “Sheldon” on TV while wearing her coziest pyjamas.
Muriel is survived by her brothers, Kenny Marshall (Sherri) and Bruce Marshall (Cindy), niece, Jessie Marshall (Dylan Phillips), great-nephew, Kacey Phillips and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother and brothers, David and Leon.
