She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Charlotte County Hospital on January 1, 2008. She was born in Honeydale, NB on May 24, 1927. She was the eldest daughter of the late Ellen Bessie Morrow and the late Thomas Johnson of Honeydale, NB. She was married to the late Russell Elward McLaughlin on March 2, 1944. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, son, Phillip McLaughlin and great grandson, Cory Libby.Survived by three daughters, Phyllis McLaughlin of Lawrence Station, NB, Edith Sewell (Bernard) of Waweig, NB and Ellen Foster (Johnny) of Bocabec, one son, Leo McLaughlin (Beatrice) of Lawrence Station, NB, daughter-in-law, Brenda McLaughlin, one sister, Mrs. Josephine Smith of Heathland, NB, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where funeral service will be held on Friday January 4, 2008 at 2 PM.Interment at Moores Mills Rural Cemetery.Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
