Daughter of Catherine Marie (Hayes) Tremblay of Nelson NB & the late Joseph Rene Tremblay of Timmons Ont.Survived by sister; Julia Connell(Paul) of Miramichi NB, half sisters; Suzanne Murray St. John's NL, Margaret Fullerton (Gary) Fredericton., nephews; Tanner Connell Halifax NS, Kevin (Dawn) & Keith Dignam Fredericton, special friend; Tony Miller.Predeceased by her father & a brother Edward.After graduating from high school in Newcastle, she went to school in Moncton. From there she went to St. Andrews where she made her home. She worked as Kitchen Supervisor, Housekeeper, Retail Clerk, Bank Teller, Short Order Cook & then Managed the Niger Reef Tea House & the Kingsbrae Garden Cafe.Ellen found time to volunteer for the Cancer Society & Heart Fund. She was past director of the Business Ladies Curling group. She was on the Parish Council Social & Entertainment Committee for the St Andrews Catholic church. For many years she was a Girl Guide Leader & Treasurer & was involved in the Religious Education for children in McAdam. When she arrived in St. Andrews, she immediately embraced the community & the community embraced her in return. She had a great fondness for the elderly & children. She was always there to lend a helping hand & a meal to anyone in need.No visitation will be held by request.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, King Street, St. Andrews, NB on Tuesday February 24, 2009 at 12 Noon.Interment at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.Arrangements in care of The S.O.
