Lorraine Morin- Updated

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Lorraine E. Morin on Friday, May 6, 2022 at her residence in Saint John, NB.

Lorraine was born in 1934, a second daughter to Aime and Emma (Gagnon) Morin. She graduated from Milltown Superior High School in 1952. She was very active in high school sports and in bowling leagues later on in her life.

Lorraine went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1955 and worked at St. Joseph’s until the 1960’s. She transferred to the General Hospital where she worked as an operating room nurse until her retirement.

She loved attending Saint John Flames hockey games as a season ticket holder, and she liked watching NHL games. She enjoyed travelling with her friends on vacations to many interesting places in her younger years with Bermuda, her favorite.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Aime and Emma Morin and is survived by her sisters, Carmen of Saint John, NB. and Georgette of Quebec, brother, Joe, sister-in-law, Polly, both of St. Stephen, NB, one nephew, four nieces and many cousins.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, N.B. on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2-4 PM.

Interment at Milltown Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement, N.B.
