Lois V. Calder

Lois V. (Mitchell) Calder, 91 of Campobello Island, NB passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 after a brief illness.

Born in 1931 at St. Stephen, NB. and lived her entire life on North Road, Campobello.

She was predeceased by her husband, Neil Calder in March 2005. Lois married Neil in June 1947, when she was sixteen years old and settled down happily into domestic life. She devoted herself to caring for her family. Lois was a good wife and mother. She enjoyed watching her family grow and thrive.

Lois was a member of the Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church for many years. In her later years, she was content to stay at home, visit with family and friends and share stories of days gone by.

She loved reading her Bible and romance novels, watching exciting movies and snuggling with her dog, Odie and cat, Eva.

Lois was a true family matriarch. She is survived by so many family members that listing them would be like reading a chapter of Genesis. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Roy Calder, Darlene (Calder) Savage, Mark Calder and Steven Calder. Lois is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren

A graveside service will be held at the North Road Cemetery, Welshpool, Campobello, NB on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 3 PM.

Lois was one of the kindest, sweetest, most loving ladies one could ever hope to meet. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
