TOWNES, LILLIAN VICTORIAIt is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Lillian Victoria (Rushton) Townes on April 29, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Lillian was born on September 30th 1932, daughter of the late Bertha Rushton (Little) and Ernest (Shay) Rushton.Survived by her husband of 55 years; Basil Townes, one son; Clyde Townes and his wife Harriet of McAdam, five grandchildren; Jayson Townes (Jennifer) of McAdam, Megan Dickeson (Stewart) of Woodstock, Lindsay Townes (Jamie), Clayton Townes and Laura Townes, all of McAdam, four great grandchildren; Hannah Montgomery, Landyn Caissie, Cooper Dickeson, Brady Scott and a special cousin; Audrey Large.Predeceased by her daughter; Lavina R. Townes, cousins; Harold Robison and Delbert Robison, special aunt; Olive Robison.Resting at the Voice of Pentecost Church in McAdam, NB with visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 2nd, 2009 with Rev. Stephen Tompkins officiating.Interment will take place in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB.In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cancer Society or charity of their choice.Arrangements are entrusted to S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., St. Stephen, NB.Pallbearers will be Wade Townes, Clayton Townes, Jayson Townes, Larry Curtis, Tom Laking and Louis McLaughlin.
