Laura Day

The family of Laura Etta Day sadly announces her passing on November 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sue Buchanan.

Laura loved spending time at the camp with her family and friends, where her door was always open. She loved a good game of crib and spending her days cooking for Bob and Jaye at Sunset View Lodge. She was part of the women's bowling league as well as a member of the McAdam curling club.

Laura is survived by her daughters Sharon (Joey), Tanya (Ken), Shelley (Vance), chosen daughter Pam (Jack); sons John (Debbie), Frank (Lori), and Todd (Hope); 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her siblings Wanda (Donnie), Mae, Donnie, Reby, Helen, Susie Bell (Wilson); her sisters-in-law Gloria (Jack), Loraine (Ralph), and Jean; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, including close friends Sally Carvell, Kay Messer, Bobby McIver, Pete and Paulette Paisley; and her second family: the staff and residents of the Wauklehegan Manor - thank you for loving her as much as we do.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Wayne Day, brothers-in-law Norman, Edward (Harts), Larry, Erroll, and Pat; sisters in law Belinda and Marion; nephew David; and close friend Jane Moffitt.

Funeral service will be held at the Voice of Pentecost Church, 84 Harvey Road in McAdam NB on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1 pm. Family will receive friends at the church from 11 am to 1 pm. For those unable to attend, the funeral service will be livestreamed on the Voice of Pentecost Facebook page.
