DUCHESNEAU- At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB, March 7, 2009, L. Paul Duchesneau of Oak Bay NB passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was born July 21, 1937, the oldest son of the late Leo and Mynia (Young) Duchesneau.Paul served his country in the Canadian Navy from 1956-61. He was also a long time member of the Milltown Legion and of Local 946 Canadian Operating Engineers. He was particularly proud of his contribution to the construction of the Saint John Regional Hospital in the early 1980’s.He is survived by his wife, Madelyn(Seamans) , his children, Margie(Stephen Smith), Bob(Madeline McDaniels), Bill, Susan(Andy Gallant) and Melissa Kaestner,10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brothers and sisters, Janet(late Jim Ott),Bob(Annette Hawthorne)Pauline(Frank Sadler) and Rose Marie(Larry MacDonald), numerous nieces and nephews.Resting at The S. O Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2PM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.For those who wish donations to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
