Krista N. Hastey

Krista N. (Gullison) Hastey, of Lynnfield, N.B., passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2026. Born in St. Stephen, N.B., she was the cherished daughter of the late Dean and Darlene (Chaffey) Gullison.

In her early years, Krista lived life to the fullest. Her greatest joy was her family; in 1997, she welcomed her first son, Michael, who for years was her absolute pride and joy. Her family grew again in 2004 with the birth of her son, Aiden. Krista loved her children and her husband deeply, and she was a fiercely loved wife, mother, sister, and niece.

Though addiction stole many things from Krista, it could never erase the profound love she shared with her family and friends. Those who knew her choose to remember her for her beautiful laugh, her fierce passion for her children, and the unconditional kindness she showed to her loved ones.

Krista fought hard to find peace. While hearts are broken by this sudden loss, her family takes comfort in knowing she is finally free from her pain and reunited with her parents.

Krista is survived by her husband, Jamie; her sons, Michael Gullison and Aiden Hastey; her sisters, Tanya (Paul) and Patty Smith; her brother, Clifford Smith; and her nieces and nephews, Austin and Felicia Smith, and Taya Lord, great niece, McKenna Gower.

Krista, we will miss you so deeply. We will take care of the boys and Jamie. We love you always.

A celebration of Krista’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and to help others fighting mental illness and substance use disorders, the family requests that donations be made to your local narcotics rehabilitation center, local shelter, or mental health and addiction services.
