June L Purdy

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of June L. Purdy at the Charlotte County Hospital on June 28, 2023 with the family by her side

June was born in St Stephen, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Leslie and Blanche Purdy.

June worked at many different jobs throughout her life.  She was with the Tuna Plant for many years  in Bayside, N.B., Pizza Delight in St Stephen and until her retirement, Cloud Five call centre in St George and St Andrews, N.B.

She loved to knit and crochet.  She had made many baby blankets, sweater sets, scarves, mittens and afghans over the years.

June is survived by her sisters; Nancy (Bill) Erskine of Bocabec, N.B., Brenda Berriault of Bocabec, N.B., Valerie (David) Fairweather of Grand Manan, N.B., Joyce Purdy and Tammy Purdy both of Oak Haven, N.B.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins, Goddaughter Tori Bartlett and her extended family at the St Stephen Seniors Complex.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her twin sister, Joan Anderson; brothers, Steven, George, Chester and David Purdy; two nephews, Mackie Purdy and Danny Wilcox, brother-in-law Joseph L Berriault.

Funeral Service will be held at The S. O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. on Monday July 3, 2023 at 2 PM.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 3, 2023 from 12-2 pm.
