Joan Grant

GRANT-Joan Grant (Moody) of St. Stephen passed away at home surrounded by her family Tuesday night, June 2, 2009. Born in Sheffield, England on May 22, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Cairns) Moody.Survived by her children; Robert (Bonita) Campbell, Lois Eng, Paul (Sharon) Campbell, Earl Campbell and Betty (Jeff) Cook, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters; Margaret Rudner, Cynthia (Frank) Palin and Iris Van Wart, various nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters; Winnifred (Wm) Buchanan and Olive (Joe) McKenna.Joan was retired from the Charlotte County Hospital where she worked for many years as a RNA. Joan truly adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was most proud of their many accomplishments, both academically and athletically.She had a passion for politics and was such a warm, giving person who always welcomed everyone into her home with open arms.Resting at S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home 23 Main Street, St. Stephen with visitation on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, NB on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 10 AM with Rev. John Keoughan officiating.Interment will take place at Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery following the service.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Home Support Services, Extra Mural or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.Condolences may be made to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca .
