In Loving Memory Of

Jennette G. Libby

1953 - 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennette G. Libby on Tuesday October 6, 2026, at the Charlotte County Hospital St Stephen, NB.

Born in 1953, daughter of Charles and Laura Scott.

Mom was a firm believer in God, carrying her faith with her throughout her life and finding comfort and strength in it.

Above all, she was an amazing mom to her children.  Her love, guidance, and unwavering support meant the world to us.  She was always there with encouragement, laughter and a listening ear.  Her children will forever cherish the love and memories they all shared with her.

Jennette worked in the aquaculture industry.  From digging clams to working at the Tuna Plant, working endlessly at the fish plants; Cooke’s, Northern Harvest, Ocean Legacy and Connors.

She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved a good joke.  Her special giggle was unmistakable; one of those little sounds that could instantly bring a smile to everyone around her.

Music was another great love of hers.  She loved to sing and she especially loved to dance the Jive with her lifelong partner.  Together they shared countless moments of music, laughter, and love on the dance floor.

Mom will be remembered for her strong faith, her incredible love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her laughter, her love of music and dancing and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her memory will live on in every song, every shared joke, every special giggle and most of all, in the hearts of her children and those who truly loved her.

Jennette is survived by her children; Robert Libby, Carolyn Libby and Gerald Libby (Krissy), grandchildren; Skye, Emily, Jenna, Tylar, Gracie, Emma and Chelsea, great-grandchildren; Asher, Sawyer, Bailey, Nolan, Gabrial, Grayson and Alyvia, two brothers, five sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her parents and her undying lifelong partner, her beloved husband Gerald.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Betty Leavitt and Candace Higgins for their love and support.

In keeping with mom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

Donations in mom’s memory can be made to the Charlotte County Cancer or a charity of choice.  Condolences can be made to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
