GOWAN- At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on Monday June 30,2003, James (Jim) David Gowan of St. Stephen, N.B. Born March 13, 1926, son of the late William and Rose (McFarlane) Gowan of Elmsville Charlotte County, N.B. Jim has been a resident of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital Saint John, N.B. for the past five years.Jim is survived by his wife, Lorenne (Johnston) Gowan, his children, Allen (Elaine) Gowan, Darlene (Wayne) Carson, James (Roselle) Gowan and Richard (Cindy) Gowan, six grandchildren, two great granddaughters, three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by eight brothers and one sister.Funeral service will be held from Christ Anglican Church, Prince William Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Thursday July 3, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. with Canon John Matheson, Rev. Peter Mills and Rev. John Martin officiating. Resting the S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd. 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B.with visiting on Wednesday July 2, 2003 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Alzhiemers, Cancer or Diabetes Society would be appreciated by the family. Interment at Johnson Settlement Cemetery, Elmsville, N.B..
