Irene F. Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Irene F. (Tubbs) Johnson announce her passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B. on Friday, June 23, 2023, with her family by her side.

Irene spent her working years at CCH, where she worked in various positions for over 35 years. After retirement she enjoyed travelling, her winters in Florida and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. One of her favourite trips was when she and Gary went to Hawaii, however nothing beats seeing a big chunk of North America from the passenger seat of a big rig and the love of her life at the wheel.

She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 58 years, Gary, her daughter Deborah (Gene) and her son- in- law, Stephen. She also leaves behind her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Megan, Matthew (Christina), Kendall (Dylan) and Zoe, and the boy that could bring her the biggest smile, great-grandson, Mitchell. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Dorothy, two brothers, Jim (Joan) and Kenny (Kim), brother- in- law, David (Marie), sister- in-law, Christine (John) and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Irene was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda, sister Edith, brother- in- law, Floyd and sister- in-law, Carol.

Funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 27^th from 6-8 PM.
