Inez E. McLaughlin

The family are saddened to announce the passing of Inez E. McLaughlin on Tuesday September 10, 2024 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Wife of the late Roland McLaughlin.

Inez is the daughter of the late Frederick and Hilda (Spearin) McKeeman, born in Lower Little Ridge, NB

To know her was to love her.  Inez’s warmth and generous spirit was her welcome and anyone who came into contact with her, was better for it.

A born Mother, she was one of the Best.  Her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the recipients of unconditional love and acceptance.  In our extended family, she was the beacon light we always looked to for love and support.

Inez was a seamstress; sewing many bridal gowns and prom dresses, as well as just about anything else, from motorcycle seat covers to snowmobile suits.  If you brought it to Inez, she would tackle it!  She was also a knitter, keeping the children in mittens and men in socks.  Oh, how they loved those socks!

Inez’s bread making has become a legendary.  Ask anyone who has tried it.

She loved music, reading and loved laughing.

She loved and she was well loved.  We miss her already.

Loving mother to Nancy McMorran (Jim), Marilyn Jane King, Wilma Dionne (Bill), Roland Roger McLaughlin (Lisa), Alice Suzanne Tingley (Jim), Barbara Holmes (Andy), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters; Ruth Fraser (Roy), Freda Daley; one brother, Ralph McKeeman (Pam) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son Daniel, sister, Carol McLaughlin, brothers; Fred and Sheldon McKeeman, Leonard Matheson and special friend Arnold Rideout.

The family gives sincere thanks to the staff of floor one at the Charlotte County Hospital, for the dedicated and compassionate care Inez received while there.

Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd from where the funeral service will be held on Friday September 13, 2024 at 2 pm.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday September 12, 2024 from 6 – 8 pm and Friday from 1 – 2 pm.

Interment will be following the service at the Moores Mills Cemetery, Moores Mills, NB.
