I. Jacqueline “Jackie” McCray

It is with great sadness that the family of I. Jacqueline "Jackie" (McDougall) McCray announce her passing at the Campobello Lodge, Campobello, N.B. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Born in St Stephen, N.B. , daughter of the late George and Mina McDougall of Lawrence Station, N.B.

Being the sixth child in a family of twelve, Jackie learned the value of hard work and family, as she helped with raising the younger ones.

Jackie graduated in 1965 from the Lawrence Station Regional School, where she was the manager of the girl’s undefeated softball team

She was employed at the Charlotte County Hospital for many years and was very active in the local union at that time, serving as Union President for a few years.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Daniel McCray, sons, Daniel Jr. and Cory (Bunny Talbot), granddaughter, Emma, brother, Donald McDougall (Debbie), sisters, Jean Thomas, Charlotte Smith, Joanne Pauley, Connie, McDougall, Holly Orr (Randy) and Edwinna McDougall (Carolyn), many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, George McDougall Jr. and Baby Daniel, sisters, Madeline Blakley, Viola Wilson and Helena Quinn. She was also predeceased by nieces, Dawn McDougall and Gail Blakley, nephew, Edward Blakley.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation held. Interment will take place beside her parents in the Moores Mills Cemetery at a later date.
