Holly Richard

1955 - 2023

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Wife, Holly - Judith Holly Louise Richard (Lindsay), born in December of 1955, was the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Bradley) Lindsay and predeceased by her brother Terrance Lindsay.

She will be missed by her adoring husband Sylvio Richard, four children: Mina & Stacy Arseneault of St Stephen, NB, Michael & Chermaine Henry of Miramichi, NB, Monica & Darcy Porter of Grand Bay, NB, and Maryanne & Lawrence Doyle of Baileyville, ME., nine grandchildren Chelsea, Cameron, Dana (Sequin), Kori (Johnny), Stephanie (Ben), Stephen, Kayla (Jay), Taylor & Tyson.  seven great-grandchildren; Axel, Karter, Scarlett, Maci, Lucas, Matteo, & Easton.  Siblings, Susan & Clint Johnson of Utah, USA, Pamela Lindsay of Leverville, NB., Andrew & Lisa Lindsay of St. David Ridge, NB., several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Holly was born in St. Stephen, NB and lived out her life with her husband in their home in Leverville. Holly and Sylvio met because of their shared love of music, and they continued to share this and so much more throughout their happy marriage. Holly attended St. Andrews Community College. She was talented beyond measure; there was nothing she couldn’t do or tackle. Her biggest talent was loving and teaching others what love was. It was her greatest asset. She took pride in her gardening, canning, baking, and shared her many talents with her children and grandchildren, always inviting them to visit and enjoy a sweet treat or meal she so lovingly prepared.

Holly had a deep love for nature, finding solace in its tranquility. She reveled in walks through her blossoming gardens, cherished family moments making wreaths or picking mayflowers, and embraced the hard work that came with it. She appreciated the simplest of things and saw the beauty in everyone, showering all with endless love.

Though we grieve her loss, we are grateful for the love and memories she left behind. We find solace in knowing she is now at peace as she suffered from MS for so many years. May her spirit fly high like a hummingbird, and may her legacy continue to inspire us to live with the same love, kindness, and devotion that she exemplified.

The funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-2 PM.
