Harry B. Brown
1925 - 2025
Harry B. Brown passed away peacefully at Lincourt Manor, St Stephen, N.B. on February 27, 2025, at the age of 99 years.
He was born in Fredericton, N.B. and grew up in Nashwaak, N.B., son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Buchanan) Brown.
Harry was a World War II veteran and after the war he moved to St. Stephen and worked at Buchanan Brothers. It was in St Stephen that he met his wife, Lillian (Purdy) Brown. Harry also worked for the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires and farmed.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Winchester, sons, Jim (Kathy), Ernie, Wayne, Eddie (Mary) and Chris, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lill, daughter, Dianne and her husband, Jim MacLean, granddaughter, Gabby, sisters, Betty and Bertha, half sister, Margaret.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. with visiting hours on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 12-2 PM. Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 9 will conduct a Tribute to A Veteran Service on Monday at 2PM followed by the funeral service.
