H. “Beryl” Pike – Update

H. "Beryl Pike, 97, of St. Stephen, NB, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Lincourt Manor, St Stephen, NB, on Tuesday November 26, 2024.

Born in 1927, in Eastport, ME to Cecil and Lucy Henderson.  She grew up on Campobello and Deer Island, NB.

While attending business college in St. Stephen she met the love of her life, Royden Pike. They were married on New Year’s Eve 1947. Together they raised four children and enjoyed many years together, taking several trips to visit family or go camping.

Beryl loved her family, and her hobby of knitting produced many cherished gifts for them over the years.

She was technologically savvy and even in her later years adapted to online technology and enjoyed keeping in touch with her friends via Facebook and email.

She was strong in her faith, and a devoted member of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, attending regularly until her age made it too difficult for her to do so.

Beryl is survived by her children; Bonnie Gouchoe, John Pike (Patricia), Susan Carr (Kenny), Roy Pike (Debbie), grandchildren; Laurie Laube, Terri Vigue, Brandon Pike, Jaret Pike, Robert Carr, Cyndi Ley, JJ Smith and Shane Bridges, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Royden, brothers Eugene, Tedford and Paul and sisters Raymah and Faye.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on May 15, 2025 at the St Stephen Rural Cemetery St. Stephen, N.B

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice or a charity of one's choice.
