It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gloria Greenlaw on July 18, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born in Prince Edward Island, her heart was always rooted in the Island, and she cherished every summer spent there. Gloria worked for over 30 years with the Department of Transportation and was a graduate of Fredericton business college. It was during this time that she met her husband Dale Greenlaw, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
She had a generous spirit and a passion for giving back, including years spent collecting for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She loved her garden, the colour red, and her beloved cat, Pumpkin.
Gloria had a love for life and was known for her dancing, skiing, and adventurous spirit. She adored Elvis Presley, Jon Bon Jovi, and Shania Twain, and she found joy in every moment shared with her grandchildren.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her family: husband, Dale, Darin Greenlaw (son), Tyra Greenlaw (granddaughter), and Calin Greenlaw (grandson): Alisa Cook (stepdaughter), Kira (granddaughter) Quinn and William (great-grandchildren) and Malory (granddaughter), Olivia, Norah, Cohen, Penelope (great-grandchildren); Blain Greenlaw (stepson), Matthew Greenlaw (grandson), and Kathleen Greenlaw (granddaughter).
Gloria also leaves behind her cherished lifelong friends, Marie Johnson, Marilyn Spencer and nephew Shawn Dunn.
In addition to her parents, Wanda and Kenneth Best, she was predeceased by her sister Claire and niece Kenda.
Her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
In keeping with Gloria’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation held.
Those wishing to honour Gloria’s memory may do so by making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
Her family would like to express gratitude to Lincourt Manor staff for their care and kindness to Gloria over the past 2 years
