At her residence, St. Stephen, N.B, on July 13, 2012, Gladys Amy Austin of St. Stephen, N.B. Daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Murphy) Hanifan.
Survived by 2 daughters, Eileen Thibeault (Mike) of Medford, Oregon and Joleen Appleton of Medford, Oregon; 1 son, Rex Austin of Portland, Oregon; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
The St. Croix Legion Branch #9 will conduct a tribute to a veteran graveside service at the Rolling Dam Cemetery, Rolling Dam, N.B. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. There will be no visitation, by request.
