Gerald J. Cleghorn

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Gerald J Cleghorn, on Monday June 19, 2023, with his family by his side.

Gerald was born in Lawrence Station, New Brunswick, son of the late Neil and Eva (Garnett) Cleghorn.

Gerald had many jobs and hobbies over the years.  He worked in the woods for many years, bus driver, mill worker, Fire Chief, growing Christmas trees, working in the blueberry fields, farming, cooking, gardening, the Farmers Market and square dancing.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marina (Orr), children; Lynn (Linda) Cleghorn, Debra (Andrew) Scullin, Robbie Cleghorn, Gail (Peter) Boucher, grandchildren; Justin (Casey), Eric, Elaina, Joseph, Cody (Kelsey) and Mitchel, great-grandchildren; Madsen, Harper, Keyan and Kamryn, brother, Carl Cleghorn (Connie), several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was also predeceased by his first-born son, Dale Cleghorn, brothers, Roland, Wallace, Neil and Earl.

Funeral service will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, New Brunswick on Thursday June 22, 2023 at 3 pm. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1 PM until service time.  

Interment will be following the service at Rolling Dam Cemetery, Rolling Dam, New Brunswick.
