DEVLIN, George Clair - George Clair Devlin, of Bay Road, St. Stephen, N.B., passed away peacefully with his loving family around him, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., on Sept. 16, 2005, at the age of 85. Son of the late Francis S. and Elsie Anne (Cloney) Devlin. Survived by his wife, Barbara (Nickerson) Devlin; children, Paula Pickard (Peter), Moncton, N.B., Annette Devlin (Dwaine), St. Stephen, N.B., Rosemary Geddes (Doug), Moncton, N.B., Tim Devlin (Pauline), St. Stephen, N.B., Rochelle Ivey (Clyde), Fredericton, N.B., and Meradith Devlin, St. Stephen, N.B.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Sister Mary Devlin, Saint John, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. George was born and lived his life on the Bay Road. He served in the Air Force, after which he owned and operated a successful construction business for over 50 years. George held the Fourth Degree in the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.Rested at The S.O. Mehan and Son Funeral Home Ltd., St. Stephen. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Union Street, St. Stephen, N.B., on Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Paul Riley officiating. Interment in Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Stephen, N.B.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Fund, Lung Association, or charity of one's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
