Floyd E. LaKing

Floyd Eugene LaKing passed into his heavenly home at the age of 91 on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Born in McAdam, NB., son of the late Robert and Mary LaKing.

Floyd was a member of Voice of Pentecost Church in McAdam and he loved serving his God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Floyd leaves his children grandchildren, and their families with a deep appreciation and love for the outdoors, and all it has to offer. From spending time at the camps on Wauklehegan Lake and Magaguadavic River to fishing for bass and white perch in the summer, hunting in the fall, and taking long wheeler rides with family. He also loved and took pride in his flower garden. Even at 91 years of age he was still active doing what he loved.

He cherished time with his family and loved to reminisce about days gone by.

Floyd leaves behind his Beloved wife, Brenda Ann LaKing, his children, Thomas (Linda) LaKing of McAdam, Debora (Mitchell) Little of McAdam, Sherry (Joseph) McFarlane of McAdam, Wendy LaKing of Quebec, Barry (Peggy) LaKing of McAdam, Randy LaKing of Texas. Floyd was Papa to eleven special grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Maurice and Wayne, sisters, Maizie and Shirley, several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Bernard, George, Charlie, sisters, Myrtle, Mayme and Doris and granddaughter, Tabatha Kitchen.

Resting at the Voice of Pentecost Church, McAdam, NB. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 2 PM. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, April 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB.
