Emily A. Haley

Emily A. Haley passed peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Little Ridge, New Brunswick on Monday July 21st, 2025.

Born in Milltown NB., daughter of the late Byron and Bertha (Denyer) Mclaughlin. 

Emily was well known in the community as the "walking lady".   She could be seen walking downtown or in the civic center almost every day while making new friends along the way.

Some of her hobbies were knitting, sewing and crocheting.   Many family members and friends were the recipients of beautiful quilts made by her.

Emily was a lay reader with the Anglican church for over 50 years.  She would always help with the St. David's Ridge Church, as well as several other places throughout the years. 

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her.

Emily is survived by her children; Pauline of Oak Bay NB., Edward of Little Ridge NB., Catherine of Hamilton On., Brent (Patti) of Hamilton On. and James (Christina) of Milltown NB., several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, Emily was predeceased by her husband Edward, one grandson, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter and five brothers.

A funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen NB on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 at 2pm. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 pm until service time.

Interment will be held at the St Stephen Rural Cemetery, St Stephen, NB following the funeral service.
