It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Clark, on January 25, 2022, at Passamaquoddy Lodge in St. Andrews, NB. Beth was born in St. George, NB in 1929 where she grew up and attended school. After graduating from high school, she was hired to work in the local telephone office and then moved to Toronto where she worked as a telephone operator for three years.
Beth returned to New Brunswick where she met and married her husband, the late Bernard Clark. She raised her family with her husband in St. Stephen where she worked as a kindergarten teacher and operated "Beth’s Crafts" out of her home. She was creative and made many of the crafts she sold. She was particularly interested in creating dough art and Tole painting which she taught to others.
Our mother loved people and was always happiest when in the company of others. She volunteered as a craft instructor at vacation bible school at the Kirk McColl church and as a leader with C.G.I.T. and Girl Guides for many years.
She was a true animal lover with a particular fondness for dogs and cats.
In her later life she moved to the Senior’s Apartments on River Street in St. Stephen where she enjoyed many years of happiness.
She is survived by one sister: Joyce, three children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, infant daughter, her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
For those who wish, donations to the Charlotte County SPCA on her behalf, would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
