GILLIS-Doris Leila Gillis (nee Orr) of St. Stephen, NB passed away suddenly at Charlotte County Hospital, on January 27, 2009 at the age of 85. She was the wife of Michael Gillis of Milltown, NB. Daughter of the late Andrew and Leila (Mitchell) Orr.Doris is survived by her husband; Mike, 3 daughters; Cheryl (Gerrit) Daamen, Hardwood Ridge, NB, Darlene Aker, St. Stephen, NB and Barb (Garry) Carter, Ottawa, Ontario, one son; John (Linda) Gillis, St. Stephen, NB, 8 grandchildren; Gerry (Melinda) Daamen and Darryl (Aimie) Daamen, of Fredericton, NB, Gordon Aker, St. Stephen, NB, Tony Aker, Fredericton, NB, Cindy Steeves, Ottawa, Ontario, Robyn, Micaela and Brenden Gillis, all of St. Stephen, NB, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.She was predeceased by son; Gerry and an infant daughter, Micaelena, her parents, brothers, Douglas and Arnold Orr, and sisters, Stella Moore and Ethel Crocker.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, NB on Saturday January 31, 2009 at 11 AM.Interment at Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery.Visiting hours will be held at The S.O.
