It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Robinson announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John, N.B., on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
Born in Andersonville, N.B., Donnie was the son of the late Harry and Una Robinson. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty; his brothers, Glenn, Darrell and Kenny; and his sister, Maxine.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Donna; his children, Lynnette (Eugene), Sandy, Wanda (Stephen) and Dwayne; and his cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua (Lindsay), Naomi (Mike), Racheal, Joseph, Gabrielle (Martin), Sam (Row), Jodell (Jon), Tiffany and Jeremy (Katie). He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchildren, Tyrese, Hallie, Tiana, Jeremiah, Hudson, Elias, Jayce, Bailey, Chloe, Nya, Carter and Jase, along with many nieces and nephews.
Donnie had a special love for his faithful companion, Moose, his beloved dog who was never far from his side.
At 82 years old, Donnie was incredibly proud to be the oldest living Robinson. Andersonville was more than just home to him; it was where his roots ran deep and where generations of his family had grown. He took great pride in living in the home built by his great-grandfather; a place filled with family history and memories. He loved bringing home stories of his sporting adventures throughout the States and sharing his passion for hunting deer in the community he cherished so much. He treasured visits with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren always eager to show them a little bit of everything, whether it was taking walks down the lane to the barn or through the acres of forest, chopping wood, going for a four-wheeler ride, or simply horsing around with them and giving them his famous “pig bites,” as he affectionately called them. These are the moments they will cherish and remember forever. ❤
Throughout his life, Donnie worked for the CPR and as a pig farmer, but his greatest passion was always working in the woods. He was also proud of his involvement with the Seafarers’ Mission at the Port of Bayside.
Above all else, Donnie’s greatest passion was his faith in God. His faith brought him comfort, strength and an abundance of peace, knowing that one day he would be reunited in heaven with his beloved Betty and the family members who had gone before him. His faith was at the centre of his life and is the legacy he leaves behind for those who loved him.
While his passing leaves an immeasurable sadness in the hearts of his family, they find comfort in knowing that his journey continues in the presence of God, where he is finally home.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
