Carole Watt

Carole (nee McIntyre) Watt passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, at 81 years of age.

Carole was born and raised in Saint John, NB, to the late Daryl and Rose McIntyre.

Carole will be missed and remembered for her love for her church, the family cats, the view of Oak Bay from her front deck, discussing the weather and current events over pots of tea, her husband John, and her sons and grandchildren. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher in Oromocto, Fredericton and the St. Stephen/Milltown area, and often reflected on her time in the classroom. Carole served as a Sunday School teacher at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Fredericton and was involved with the many functions and activities at the Christ Church in St. Stephen.

Carole was a cherished and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She is survived by her two sons, Timothy (Nooty) of British Columbia and Glen (Gerri-Lynn) of Ontario, grandchildren, Audrey and Ian, of which she was so proud, her extended family includes brothers David (Lindey), Stephen (Patsy), Mark (Michelle), many nieces and nephews whose life adventures she fondly enjoyed following.

Over the last few years, Carole has received unwavering comfort and support from her long time and good friends Sharon, Pam and the ladies from Home Support Services.  She was very fortunate to have had many great friendships throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Carole was also predeceased by her husband John and her brother Peter.

At her request, a private family graveside service will be held at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St Stephen, NB, at a future date.
