Betty Fletcher
1924 - 2021
Betty Fletcher passed away peacefully at Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, NB. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Born in Little Ridge, NB., daughter of the late Herbert and Freda (Bartlett) Weatherby.
Betty started her working career at Ganong Candy Factory and later worked at the Garcelon Stamp Company in St Stephen, NB.
In 1948 she married Leo Fletcher and after a few years they moved to Saint John, NB, where they owned and operated L & B Gems, working side by side for many years.
Betty is survived by her brother, Kenneth Weatherby of Saint John, NB., niece, Joyce Woodard (Benton) of St Stephen, NB., nephew, Dale Cumberland (Nellie) of Mayfield, NB., several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Leo Fletcher, infant son, Leo Dennis, sister, Jessie and brother, Herbert.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, NB from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2 PM. Visiting will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12- 2 PM.

Interment to follow at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, St Stephen, NB.
