Barbara E. Atkinson
1939 - 2023
At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen N.B. on March 31, 2023, Barbara E. (Jackson) Atkinson, former resident of Moores Mills N.B., passed away peacefully at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born and raised in Mayfield, N.B. She was a faithful member of the United Church of Canada and cared deeply about community and the world around her.
Barb was predeceased by her loving parents Harvard and Edna Mae Jackson, her devoted husband Carl Atkinson, and her siblings; Elaine, Robert, Donald, Frederick, and Richard. She is survived by her eldest sister and confidante, Elinor McGinley, her beloved children, Kimberly Atkinson, Patricia Anderson (Roy), Peter Atkinson, Kristine McGuire (Troy Iutzi), Kristopher Atkinson, Elissa Atkinson; grandchildren, David Anderson, Laura Anderson, Rachel Atkinson and Julian McGuire; great-grandchildren, Annaka and Lillianna Anderson, Arlo, Beau and Cash Nixon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, N.B. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2 P.M. Barbara’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday April 3rd from 6-8 P.M.
