BUTLER -Avonelle Marcella The passing of Avonelle Marcella Butler, formerly of Deer Island N.B, residing in St Stephen NB, occurred early morning, Nov 12, 2008, peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital with family by her side. She was born August 14,1921. Avonelle was raised with four brothers. She attended school and took the hairdressing course. She was married when she was 20 years old, and had one beautiful daughter in which she loved dearly. She was her best friend. After marriage she worked as a homemaker until she later moved to Moncton to work in the Coverdale Correctional Centre for eight years. She then retired back to Deer Island and became bored and worked at the salmon factory until it closed. Avonelle then moved to St Stephen in 1990. Avonelle was a resident of Lincourt Manor for the last couple years, where many of her close friends and family spent memorable time with her. Survived by her grandsons, Reid Pirie(Melanie Pirie) of Deer Island N B and Bruce Pirie (Trisha Roy) of St Stephen NB; son-in-law and dear friend, Timothy A Roy; great grandson, Cody Pott of Ottawa Ont; many friends and caregivers of Lincourt Manor.Predeceased by her father, Warren Hathaway Fountain Jr. and mother, Annie (Richardson) Fountain. In addition to her parents, Avonelle was predeceased by her daughter, Lyn Janine Pirie; brothers, Sheldon , Gorman , Randolph, Glenn; great grandchildren; Bodhi & Payten Pirie.There will be a service held on Cummings Cove Deer Island N.B on Sunday November 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm for close friends and family.Remembrances to the animal shelter of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
