It is with tremendous grief that we share the passing of Erin McLaughlin. Erin passed peacefully at the age of 25 on February 9th, 2026, in the arms of her family, Darlene, Ken, Matthew and Katherine.
Erin came into the world in 2000 and has kept us all on our toes every day since. Born to Darlene and Ken McLaughlin, Erin became the bright and beautiful spark at the center of our family. She spent every day laughing and chasing after her siblings and cousins. Erin was the most passionate person, and she loved her family with a ferocity that we have felt our entire lives.
Erin fought for every day of her life, determined to show us all her strength through every moment of pain. She graduated from St. Stephen High School with the utmost dignity and grace. She was truly the most radiant, beautiful graduate. She attended the University of New Brunswick and was brilliant, courageous and always brave.
Erin had a deep, enduring love for her grandparents, Gerry and Glenn McMorran. She found peace throughout her life through their love. Erin loved to spend time at the cemetery with them, talking through everything. We have all felt their love and presence wrapped around Erin as she fought this battle, and it is with profound love that we know she is safe with them now.
Erin is survived by her parents, Ken and Darlene, her siblings and best friends, Matthew and Katherine, her grandmother, Charlene, her many, many beloved family members and her countless friends, including Ireland, Brittney and Edwin Jones. Erin was a soul who took the time to love and help everyone she could; it would be impossible to list the names of everyone that Erin held in her heart. Know that Erin cared so deeply for every one of her people.
