Barry S. MacLean

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Barry MacLean, of St. Stephen, NB, on Sunday September 21, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital Saint John, NB.

He was born in 1951 on Prince Edward Island, the son of the late Florence and Horace MacLean.

Barry is survived by his loving wife; Melvina, children; Scott MacLean, Jason MacLean (Cheryl), stepdaughters; Heidi Gowan (Eugene), Tania Johnson (Jason), Tanya Shannon (Luke), Kelly Cabrera-MacFarlane and Angie Neate (Nick), 4 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 2 great step-grandchildren, sisters; Donna Madsen (Cecil), Debbie MacDougall (Donnie), Norma MacLean (Heather), Laurie MacLean (Cindi), Shelli MacLean (Leo), sister-in-law; Anita Savoie (Romeo), brothers-in-law; Vincent Daigle (Amanda) and Vernon Daigle, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Barry was predeceased by his sister; Faye Trafton, brothers; Leigh, Raymond, Edward and Ronald, nieces; Dawn MacDougall and Theresa MacLean, nephews; Stephen MacLean and Ronald MacLean.

Funeral service will be held on Friday September 26, 2025, at 3 pm at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Ltd, 23 Main Street St. Stephen, NB. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 1 – 3 pm.
