Marie A. Smith
1946 - 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Marie A. Smith announce her sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, N.B. on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Born in Tower Hill, N.B. in 1946, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Olive Stewart.
Marie is survived by her spouse, Jerry Hanson, daughter, Heather (Glen), son, Dennis (Colette), daughter-in-law, Brenda, grandchildren, Christopher (Emma), Rachael and Amelia, sister, Helena, brothers; Glendon (Tammy) and Doug (Theresa), several nieces and nephews, special neighbours and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her son, Robert "Bobby" Stewart, two brothers, Vincent and Danny, two sisters, Louise and Glenna.
Funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 PM until service time.
Interment at Moores Mills Cemetery, Moores Mills, N.B.
